I would like to start by explaining what my blog will consist of. I’ve now been in the Floor Care and Restoration industry for over 10 years now and I have acquired accreditation’s through recognised training courses, trade associations and the prestigious Prince’s Trust Enterprise award for business 2014. This combined with extensive hands on experience, I feel confident to explain things clearly and honestly. The industry of Carpet, Upholstery and Hard floor Cleaning & Restoration can seem like a bit of a mine field of technical jargon, it can also be over explained scientifically and unfamiliar to customers and even us the technicians alike.
I am going to ”clear up a few myths, share some of my experiences,” have a bit of a rant about the the industry in general, the training courses, the leading experts and generally clear a few things up that I have had to find out myself the hard way.
As I’ve mentions I have now been in the Cleaning & Restoration industry for a good number of years and the one thing that has always given me an edge over my competitors is managing my customer expectations properly. Services such as Carpet, Upholstery & Hard floor Cleaning & Restoration, that are totally unregistered, allows any person to offer these type’s of services with no formal qualification, trade association backing or even liability & Indemnity. Because of this, professional companies like Blitz can specialise in this industry confidently, giving customers the trust they need when inviting trades into their home.
